The 2026 Geumjeongsanseong Festival, capturing the value of Mt. Geumjeong, which was newly designated as a national park in 2026, will be held for three days from Friday, October 16 to Sunday, October 18 at Geumjeongsanseong Plaza and the surrounding area of Geumjeongsanseong Fortress. Based on Geumjeongsanseong Fortress—the representative cultural heritage of Geumjeong-gu, Busan, and the largest mountain fortress in Korea—and Mt. Geumjeong National Park, the festival is a history, culture, and arts event held annually to commemorate the construction of the fortress. Continuing from the Geumjeong Arts Festival in 1996, the Geumjeongsanseong Festival this year showcases the new charms of Geumjeong through diverse programs that harmonize the ecology and nature of Mt. Geumjeong National Park with the history and culture of Geumjeongsanseong Fortress.
