🎪 About

Started in 1998 in Daehak-ro under the name "Independent Arts Festival," the Seoul Fringe Festival is an annual summer celebration that brings together theater, dance, music, performance, video, visual arts, exhibitions, and diverse artistic experiments that cannot be defined by a single genre. It conducts no judging of artists or evaluations of works. Believing that "anyone can be an artist," it opens the door to participation for everyone. It supports and encourages artists to express the stories they wish to tell and to experiment in any space, whether on a stage or in a park. Through the courage to reveal oneself, the experimentation that transcends genre boundaries, and the process of sharing responsibility and respect, we create true artistic freedom. This year, under the slogan "We Are Together," we seek to discover new ways of connection that are needed in our present moment.
